Improvements to mixed use, commercial and industrial structures are eligible for tax exemption for a period of five (5) years commencing with the completion of an improvement .

Through these efforts, the Borough will increase ratables to stabilize taxes and encourage economic vitality.

BOROUGH WIDE REHABILITATION

Construction of a new restaurant along Crabbe Road, in addition to an improved park with a waterfront River Walk and non-motorized boat ramp will provide residents to enjoy beautified, protected landscape. These improvements will compliment improvements to Route 166, and provide the necessary waterfront overhaul while protecting our Green Acres.

WATER FRONT INPROVEMENTS

BIKE PATH 8 ROUTE 166 BUSINESS INCENTIVESENTS

The Borough received over $600,000 in grants to initiate major improvements along Route 166 from Herflicker Blvd to Admiral Ave. Specific improvements include curbing, sidewalks, driveway aprons, ornamental lighting and decorative trees. The bikepath is anticipated to connect to the Toms River Bus Terminal. The overall project will:

1. To revitalize the Borough of South Toms River's Neighborhood Commercial and Multi-Use zoned areas.

2 To create an aesthetically pleasing, inviting corridor that will attract economic investment as well as residents and visitors to the Borough; and,

3. To improve pedestrian safety along Route 166 and make the project area more pedestrian-friendly.
